Safer Streets Together: Be Predictable

The City of Carlsbad’s Safer Streets Together education continues during May for National Bike Month, a time when more people may be out biking and enjoying its many benefits.

To make sure we’re safer together on Carlsbad roads, the city and our partners at the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition wanted to share a few traffic safety tips this month.

The tip for this week: Be predictable.

• Use your signals for turning left or right

• If turning, get in the turn lane early, watch for others and share the road

• Follow all the rules of the road, including at traffic lights and signs

• Be seen with bright lights and colors
